  1. Add the connection

    Run the command in your terminal

  2. Sign in and confirm the workspace

    Your tool opens the Crawl Foundry sign-in. Check the workspace and the requested permissions, then allow access.

  3. Start safely

  • Sign in instead of copying keys

    The connection runs on OAuth. No API key ends up in a chat or a config file.

  • One workspace per session

    The agent confirms exactly one workspace before it works. Data from different clients never mixes.

  • Budgets with hard caps

    A monthly limit, a budget per workspace and a maximum per action. Only organization owners and admins manage connections, grants and budgets.

  • Protected actions stay protected

    No budget allows publishing or changes to deployments, DNS, users or billing.

Prefer REST?

The same functions are available as a versioned REST API with an OpenAPI description. Admins create and revoke API keys, and usage is billed from the same balance as MCP.

Questions about the SEO MCP server

What is an SEO MCP server?

The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets AI agents use tools and data from other services. An SEO MCP server gives the agent access to SEO data and SEO actions. At Crawl Foundry, that means the keywords, rankings, audits and content in your workspace.

Do I need an API key?

Not for MCP. The standard connection uses OAuth, so you sign in instead of copying a key. API keys are for your own automation over the REST API.

Does it work on the free plan?

Yes. The MCP server is included on every plan. The free plan comes with 3 workspaces and €1.00 of balance a month, and reading saved data costs nothing.

I manage many clients. How does the agent keep workspaces apart?

Every session works in exactly one workspace, which the agent confirms before it starts. Grants and budgets apply per workspace. Above 25 workspaces, you use a workspace-specific address.

My tool is not listed. Can I still connect?

Yes, if it supports MCP over Streamable HTTP. Paste the MCP address into its connection settings and sign in when it asks.
